@mamashack has just shared this tummy warming recipe for Peruvian White Beans and Rice.
She tells us that she enjoys the challenge of offering a vegetarian version of dishes that she serves that are an equally delicious version of the meal that the carnivores are going to eat. How to transform Aguadito de Pollo without the pollo (chicken)? It’s a traditional Peruvian dish of soupy chicken and rice with tons of cilantro and spicy aji amarillo, but a vegetarian option was needed. She tried a bunch of different things from tofu to jackfruit but nothing worked nearly as well as creamy white beans.

Today is the first day of Ontario Agriculture Week 2021! This week we celebrate the abundance of food produced in the province and the farmers who grow it. Did you know that we grow more than 200 agricultural commodities in Ontario? There is just over 9 million acres of crops grown and 120,000 of those acres are dry beans.
We invite you to celebrate Ontario Agriculture Week by choosing locally grown food!

@livinglou has cooked up another fabulous recipe for us! A new take on the classic cream of broccoli soup, this delicious alternative gets the added benefit of creamy and hearty white beans and is ready in under 40 minutes. You can finish off with some grated cheddar cheese for an extra indulgence!
There really is a "National" day for everything, isn't there? Today is #NationalButterscotchPuddingDay and we just happen to have a recipe for that!! Ok, well it's not quite butterscotch pudding, but it's pudding that has butterscotch sauce on it. And of course, it's made with beans – white pea beans (also known as navy beans) to be exact! Each serving has 10g of protein and nearly 5g of fibre…bet other butterscotch puddings can't match that. Pudding is #betterwithbeans!
