Mexicana Chili

Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef (450 g)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes (796 mL)
- 1 1/2 cups chunky salsa (375 mL)
- 1 (12 oz) can corn niblets, drained (341 mL)
- 1 (19 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed (540 mL)
- 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, chopped (50 mL)
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce (375 mL)
- dash salt and pepper
- 1 tsp ground cumin (5 mL)
Instructions
In a medium frying pan, cook ground beef with onions and garlic over medium-high heat until beef is browned. Drain excess juice.
Put beef into slow cooker. Add rest of ingredients and stir until mixed.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
