
Snappy Sausage and Cabbage

- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (15 mL)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb Polish sausage, skinned and sliced (250 g)
- 4 cups shredded cabbage (1 L)
- 2 tbsp vinegar (25 mL)
- 2 tbsp water (25 mL)
- 1/2 tsp caraway seed (2 mL)
- 1/4 tsp salt (1 mL)
- 1 can (14 oz./398 mL) Beans with Pork and Tomato Sauce
Instructions
In large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Saute onion and sausage for 2 minutes. Add cabbage, vinegar, water, caraway seed and salt. Cover and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and heat through.
