#DYK that Romano beans are actually called cranberry beans by the farmers who grown them? They get this name because of their vibrant cranberry coloured markings in their dried state. Once they are cooked/canned the cranberry colour is absorbed into the rest of the seed coat turning the bean a light brown colour.
